About The Fara
The Fara rises above the shore of Loch Ericht near Dalwhinnie, in the Grampians. It is a large, bulky hill whose summit ridge runs for several miles north to south, and it makes a good vantage point.
It falls three metres short of Munro height, and is listed as a Corbett and Marilyn.

The recorded summit point is small cairn on rock tor 100m SSW of huge cairn. That distinction matters on broad or flat tops, where the obvious cairn is not always the true high point.
