About Stob an Aonaich Mhoir

Stob an Aonaich Mhoir stands on the eastern shore of Loch Ericht, deep in the Grampian Mountains of Perthshire. Across the water rises the bulk of the Ben Alder massif.

Remoteness is the defining feature. The shortest way in follows a private road from Loch Rannoch several miles to the south, long enough that a bicycle is often used to cover the approach to the foot of the hill.
