About Sgor Gaoith
Sgor Gaoith, the windy peak, is the high point of a long north-south ridge in the far western Cairngorms. Gleann Eanaich and Loch Eanaich separate that ridge from the Braeriach massif to the east.
The two flanks could hardly be less alike. Steep cliffs drop from the eastern edge straight to Loch Eanaich, while the western side is heather slopes broken by shallow corries and approached from Glen Feshie. The name covers the whole mountain as well as the summit; its other tops are Sgoran Dubh Mor to the north and Carn Ban Mor to the south.
