About Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair

Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, 1,015 metres, lies in the remote Dundonnell and Fisherfield Forest of Wester Ross. Its ridge is strewn with large quartzite boulders, which makes for awkward going, and the mountain's distance from the road is part of its character.

Some walkers wild camp beside nearby Loch Fhada before making the ascent. Kinlochewe, to the south, is the nearest village.

The Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair group

2 other listed summits sit in the same prominence group, with Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair as the independent hill at its head.

Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair East Top 978 m 29 m

Grouping is by prominence alone: a summit belongs to the nearest higher Marilyn it connects to without a deeper intervening col. Over a large massif that can gather hills no one would walk in a single day, and which few would describe as parts of the same mountain — it is a measure of independence, not a suggested route.
