About Gathersnow Hill
Gathersnow Hill belongs to the Culter Hills in the Southern Uplands, west of the village of Tweedsmuir and on the boundary between the Scottish Borders and South Lanarkshire. It is the second highest of the group after Culter Fell to the north, and the two Grahams are commonly taken in the same outing.

The Gathersnow Hill group
2 other listed summits sit in the same prominence group, with Gathersnow Hill as the independent hill at its head.
| Summit | Height | Drop |
|---|---|---|
| Hillshaw Head | 652 m | 54 m |
| Hudderstone | 626 m | 111 m |
Grouping is by prominence alone: a summit belongs to the nearest higher Marilyn it connects to without a deeper intervening col. Over a large massif that can gather hills no one would walk in a single day, and which few would describe as parts of the same mountain — it is a measure of independence, not a suggested route.
