About Culter Fell

Culter Fell is the high point of the Culter Hills in the Southern Uplands, and the county top both of historic Lanarkshire and of the South Lanarkshire council area. It caps a network of ridges spreading south of the village of Coulter, near Biggar.

Access from the north-west has changed on the map: older OSGB sheets show a public road at the mouth of Kings Beck, while recent editions mark it private, with notices warning that unauthorised vehicles will be removed. Parking is available at Birthwood, 500 metres back.
