About Ebrington Hill

At around 261 metres, Ebrington Hill is the highest ground in Warwickshire, standing among the Cotswolds between the villages of Ebrington, Mickleton and Ilmington on the Gloucestershire border.

The county-top question here is fiddly. Boundary changes over the past century put the actual summit inside modern Warwickshire, but historically it lay just across the line in Gloucestershire. The historic Warwickshire top is therefore a separate spot roughly 30 metres south, on a track at 260 metres (SP 18778 42599). The triangulation pillar, at 259 metres, is not the summit either.
