About Doune Hill

Doune Hill is the highest point of the Luss Hills, a southern outlier of the Grampians, and stands near Luss in Argyll and Bute west of Loch Lomond, on the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Its long grassy ridge has made it a well-used objective among hillwalkers, and at 734.5 m it is a Graham and a Marilyn.

Surveyor's note

trig point is at NS 29065 97134.

The recorded summit point is small cairn 45m SSW of trig point. That distinction matters on broad or flat tops, where the obvious cairn is not always the true high point.
