About Beinn Liath Mhor

Set in the broad band of high ground between Strath Carron and Glen Torridon, in Wester Ross, Beinn Liath Mhòr is defined by its summit ridge: roughly two kilometres of undulating crest that never falls below 800 metres before rising to the top at its far western end.

The mountain is built from Cambrian quartzite scree and Torridonian sandstone, and the two rocks give it a marked contrast of pale and dark ground. At 926 metres it ranks as the 258th highest Munro.
