About Beinn Fhionnlaidh

This Beinn Fhionnlaidh stands on the southern shore of Loch Mullardoch, at the far end of Glen Cannich and roughly 60 km west of Inverness. The loch on one side and the length of the glen on the other make it a hill defined largely by the distance needed to reach it. Note that the name is shared with other Scottish summits, so check which one is meant when planning.

Finding the summit

Surveyor's note

rock c 12m SSE of cairn may be as high.

The recorded summit point is large cairn. That distinction matters on broad or flat tops, where the obvious cairn is not always the true high point.
