About An Socach

An Socach occupies the head of Glen Cannich in the Highlands, set on the watershed between Loch Mullardoch in the glen itself and Loch Monar over in Glen Strathfarrar. That position, deep behind two long reservoir glens, is the defining fact about the hill.

At just over 1,069 m it is a Munro, and also counts as a Marilyn, HuMP, Simm and Murdo. Several Scottish hills carry the name An Socach, so this one is usually distinguished by its Glen Cannich setting.
