About Ronas Hill
Ronas Hill, sometimes written Ronies Hill, is the highest point in the Shetland Islands at 450 metres, and is classed as a Marilyn. A Neolithic chambered cairn stands near the summit. It also serves as both the historic and current county top for Shetland.

Finding the summit
summit is 20m WNW of trig point at HU 30525 83475 and 1m higher; large cairn 75m SSE at HU 30554 83420 is about 1.5m lower.
The recorded summit point is oblique pink granite slab. That distinction matters on broad or flat tops, where the obvious cairn is not always the true high point.
