About Cauldcleuch Head

Cauldcleuch Head is the high point of an unnamed group of Roxburghshire hills lying north of Langholm, within the Southern Uplands. Its isolation is around 26 km, which gives some sense of how much empty ground separates it from anything higher.

Parts of the Gorrenberry Jubilee Wood lie in the Billhope glen to the south-west, the side from which the most straightforward line of ascent runs. The hill carries Graham, Donald, Marilyn, HuMP and Simm status in a corner of the Borders that sees relatively few walkers.
