About Ben Stack
Ben Stack, Beinn Stac in Gaelic, rises in Sutherland south-east of Laxford Bridge and north-west of Loch More, with Loch Stack immediately to its east and the A838 running past.
The usual line of ascent comes from the south-east along the long eastern ridge of Leathad na Stioma. A steeper alternative starts near Lochstack Lodge on the north-western side. Both starting points sit on the A838, so a traverse between them is possible.
