About Ben Oss
Ben Oss, Beinn Os in Gaelic, lies south-west of Tyndrum inside the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, on the old Argyll and Perthshire boundary. Seen from north or south it reads as a distinct point, a contrast with the bulkier Beinn Dubhchraig alongside it, and the two are generally walked together.
The mountain is composed of mica schist and is rocky and craggy in character. It forms part of a chain of four Munros in the southern Highlands.
