About Beinn Sgritheall

Beinn Sgritheall, the scree mountain, is the highest ground on the Glenelg peninsula in the Northwest Highlands. It is also anglicised as Ben Sgriol and appears as Beinn an Sgrithill.

Approaches come either from Arnisdale on Loch Hourn or from Gleann Beag to the north, the latter glen known for its brochs. Sir Hugh Munro, a founder member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club, called the view from the summit perhaps the finest he had seen in Scotland.
