About Beinn a' Bheithir - Sgorr Dhonuill
Sgorr Dhonuill is the western of the two Munro summits on Beinn a' Bheithir, the mountain lying south of Ballachulish and Loch Leven; its higher partner is Sgorr Dhearg at 1,024 m. The massif as a whole takes a horseshoe form, with ridges running north to enclose the corrie of Gleann a' Chaolais, also known as Glenachulish.
Conifer plantations clothe the lower ground on that northern side. To the south the mountain presents a steep ridge that walls off the northern side of Glen Duror, which is likewise forested.
